I have eaten at the Daniel Boone Inn many times, that should tell you something, and yes, I'm a local. Their chicken is world class, all their sides are all home made. Their staff is awesome and the ownership is both philanthropic and benevolent. Not tobe missed when traveling through Boone.

This is a great meal all the way! We've never tried the Dan'l Boone before because the buffet-style restaurant is a little too pricey to try on a whim. However, when someone recommended using Door Dash to order fixed portions for a more economical choice, we jumped on the opportunity for a special Valentines dinner. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the items, and the two boxes we ordered (both number 2) were enough to feed our family of six (three adults, three children). If you want to try this local gem while not sure about paying the hefty buffet fee, I highly recommend ordering through Door Dash to give you an idea of what you're paying for. It's also a great option just for picking up a late night dinner... took only ten minutes for us. We're very thankful for the opportunity to have eaten there!
