Domenico De Marco, or "Dom", opened Di Fara Pizza in 1965 after emigrating to Brooklyn from the Province of Caserta in Italy. Before Di Fara Pizza, Dom spent time working on a Huntington farm until so…
square pie was a little burnt and a little soggy but still better than 80% of the pizza in NYC. The round one is just so much better.

Square Pie was a terre delivery option. It did no travel well. Saucy was too much.

Comes with a tough reputation to back-up. Not sure anything can live up to all that hype but the pizza was excellent. I preferred the regular slice over the square but both were very good. The sauce on the square is top notch, though. Crust was perfect. Overall great pizza.

I was on vacation to Brooklyn and heard that Di Fara was one of the best pizza places in NY. I ordered the Classic Pie and was not disappointed. The pie was absolutely delicious. The crust was firm with a slight flop, cheese was excellent, sauce very tasty, and meat veggies were sparce but just enough. I will definitely be coming back during future trips.

Solid pie. Miss the old man making it, but his family carries on the tradition well!
