These are rolls with rice on the outside also known as Uramaki. All these rolls contain nori (a dried seaweed sheet) and rice.

Futomaki are rolls just like the Hosomaki but is larger in size and is also known as the thick roll. Rice on these rolls maybe inside or outside the nori. All these rolls contain nori (a dried seaweed sheet) and rice.
