The String Beans with Garlic are so good - nice and crisp, even cold the next! The Noodles with Spicy Sauce are delicious and flavorful.

We love Din Tai Fung. The food is consistently good. However, this time, the Sticky Rice Shao Mai with Kurobuta Pork & Mushroom only had 4 pieces instead of the usual 5. It is already outrageously expensive, so to be served one less was pretty upsetting. The other thing which we are frustrated with is that they never include hot chili oil with the order anymore. :( The Vegetable & Mushroom Fried Rice and the Vegan Spicy Wontons (8 each) where excellent!

I usually love this Din Tai Fung however both the Shrimp Fried Rice and Chicken Fried Rice seemed extremely bland this time around. Which would have been fine if they gave us three individual ginger, soy sauce, black vinegar, and chili oil to-go packs, one for each fried rice that we ordered. But unfortunately we only got one of those packs that we had to share between the three of us. However the String Beans with Garlic were delicious as always.

The food is absolutely delicious, but I have two frustrations around the (delicious) hot chili oil. 1) the packaging has changed on the to-go chili oil. It was in a small container with a lid. Unfortunately, they have now started packaging it in the same type of container as the soy sauce/vinegar. This does not work well as the chili oil has a large amount of sediment which gets stuck in the package. And, it is too small of an amount. Please go back to the previous packaging. 2) I am disappointed that the last 3-4 orders that were delivered did not include the hot chili oil. That seasoning really makes or breaks a dish. Dining in, it is provided on the table for free. I'm not inclined to buy it in bulk for $6. Please please go back to including it with to go orders!! Thank you!

The red bean buns tasted like a burrito rather than a dessert. The sweet taro bun was tasteless. The chocolate mochi xiao are delicious but VERY small for $2 each.
