You can feel the difference between fast food and authentic food. This is authentic as it gets!!!! Everything tasted like a Dominican grandmother was cooking it. The mofongo with sweet plantains, chicharrón and garlic sauce was the best I've ever had. 10/10 will order again!

Was looking for some cooking that reminded me of home. This was not it. Was mainly dry white rice. Very little Pernil, mainly onions. Very little beans, just liquid. Only three Maduros. The side of Maduros was qty 5. That's like almost a dollar each. I've never been to a Dominican restaurant or even a Dominican home that served so little. Malta was Goya, not India. I really want to give 5 stars but I can't. I'm extremely disappointed.

The Chicharron de Puerco was way over fried it was dried out even the fat parts .. almost like it was refried to be reheated. It was supposed to come w/ red beans but it wasn't and for the price it only came with 3 tostones.. a platano makes easily 6-8 depending on the size. The Chimi Sandwich with fries (LUNCH) Is okay given theres not many places around that make them. All in all, the flavor is okay but it's over priced. Oh and the Empanadas (4) doesn't matter what options you choose they send whatever.

The Chicharrone de Pollo was good. Chicken portion was very small (not even two whole pieces). Lots of rice. Didn't feel it was worth the price for the small chicken portion. Beans were very good.

Not enough meat for the pollo guisado and the Carne Res Guisado (Dinner) . Also $7 for a 2" piece of Dominican Cake was highway robbery.
