Donato & Co., located in Berkeley's vibrant Elmwoo…
A little pricey but worth every bite! Happy to splurge every once & a while for Donato. BOLOGNESE is fire & chocolate mousse is on hit every time. Took a chance & ordered the pizzelle, so good!

I was so disappointed when my carbonara arrived with raw pieces on bacon on it. It was completely inedible. I feel like even if the bacon was cooked that it wouldn't be worth 30$ the sauce was not the authentic creamy/smooth like it is supposed to be, I make much better carbonara at home. I was expecting a lot more from this place after reading the great reviews on google. I feel like this place would be better if you went in person.

The Sbrisolona e Crema was rich in flavor and was both soft and had good crunch. The Carbonara was very flavorful but a little soupy. I've had a lot of carbonara, including many times in Italy. I've never had it like this so hoping it was a one-off.

Both were not very good. The risotto was undercooked and the meat on top was inedible. The bruschetta did not include the vegetables and was just bread, cheese, and marinara sauce. Overall it was a very disappointing and extremely overpriced meal.
