Whale oil was the primary source of oil for kerosene lights in the early 1800s. However, George Bissell desired a more reliable and abundant source of oil. "Colonel" Edwin Drake was hired to research …
The food from Drake's Yoke was mouthwatering. The steak was cooked perfectly and the baked potato was almost as big as the steak, which is saying something. The Blackened Redfish was flaky and the topping was superb but my wife's favorite was the cheddar jalapeño grits. The brussell sprouts were also on point. Will eat here again and recommend to others. Home run all the way!

Got the Rig Hand Potato like usual and it was just lacking this time. The potato wasn't fully cooked and about half the toppings as usual. For $17 and as big as the potato is, I wish the amount of toppings matched to make it worth it.

The blackened redfish was fine, but not mind blowing or anything. The grits it comes with are really good but the candied Brussels are not my favorite. Overall it was fine. The ribeye was cooked and seasoned well but was not really very high quality meat. The baked potato was good. The Mac & Cheese was good. Overall, I probably would not order from here again as the price is too high for the quality. Also they only sent one set of utensils so we had to share, since we are staying at a hotel.

The Chicken Fried Chicken was good. BUT, the gravy was sour and nasty. Tasted like it had been made with spoiled milk. Thankfully, they didn't put it ON the chicken but in a separate container on the side. I just hope I dont get sick from the two bites I had dipped in the gravy!
