El Asador has been in this area for quite awhile and for good reason. Of all the Hispanic restaurants in this area (Fredericksburg) this is by far the most authentic. I ordered the Pupusa de Chicharron a Side de Frijoles \ Beans and side of Spanish rice and all of it was spot on delicious. I take food seriously as a professional chef, that is my life and my passion...... if you're hungry for something with authentic Latin flavor, head to El Asador, it will not disappoint!

Pupusas locas were on point. very tasty and almost like in El Salvador. chicken tamales are just OK, can tell they were frozen at some point and that they lack shortening and stock. packed properly and decently priced will definitely eat again

The Taco de Camarón / Shrimp Taco were tastless and a big disappointment. Each taco has only 3 very small shrimp. There were more cilantro and jalapeños than shrimp. Selectos has much better tacos de camarón.

The Pupusa Loca was amazing, very tasty. The Tacos de Birria plato were pretty solid however the consumé was a bit lacking in flavor. The overall meal was still worth the money and would reccomend ordering the next time you get a craving for tacos!

First time trying this place. Overall, very happy with my order. The 3 Quesabirria were generously filled. Would prefer more cilantro, but the meat and cheese portion was worth this miss. Didn't come with the jalapeños or salsas, but they weren't needed. The pupusas are awesome. I won't order the bean and cheese pupusa again, as it was kind of runny and messy. The mix pupusas and pork pupusa were both filled generously. I didn't get the side of rice that I ordered, but it wasn't missed - I just wanted to try it. The cabbage slaw arrived ina plastic bag which was kind of gross and messy since it leaked. Would prefer it in a lidded container. Not a ton of flavor there, but good crunch. 4 pupusas and 3 Quasabirria was enough for 2 adult dinners and leftovers tomorrow. Will order from here again
