El Bolillo Bakery began as a tiny Mexican bakery in Houston's Greater Heights neighborhood.
El Bolillo Bakery offers a variety of Bolillos, which are a popular bread among Hispanics.
Best bakery ANYWHERE. Especially in Houston. Everything is delicious, super fresh, and what I also appreciate is that El Bolillo, when compared to other bakeries, prices their wonderful offerings FAIRLY. Love this place, and the people who work here.

I got the peach and strawberry tres leches cake. Absolutely gorgeous cake. The attention to detail AND the size for the price made it feel like a steal. The whipped icing and fluffy filling is delicious. If I ordered a well above average Vanilla cake with the perfect marrying of peach, strawberry, and vanilla, then you'd be reading a 5 star review. However , I ordered a tres leches cake. I'm a tres leches connoisseur of sorts. There were sparse bites of moist, 3-milk goodness that made sense for the cake I ordered. But most of the other bites were typical sponge cake that tasted like someone was yelling "tres leches" from the other room. Not the BAM in your face obvious gooey-ness that you'd expect from a tres leches cake. Soooooooooo close.

I got the Pork Tamales (1/2 Dozen) and Rebanada de Fresa (Tres Leches) and DANG they are good. I'm not easily impressed but you get the quality and the savings here. 100% recommend giving it a try. If I had one piece of feedback it'd be to have spicy options for the tamales

I tried to get a rosca at another place and it was a mistake, after we tried it we immediately went back to buying it from this bakery! Truly the best rosca in Houston.
