That Pozole Verde With Chicken was delicious!! Just the right amount of spice and seasonings. I love spicy, so I loved it. It may be a bit spicy for some. Large portion and they did NOT short you on broth to chicken to hominy ratio. Everything was very neatly packaged and portion. Really good home made Tortillas Hechas En Casa. I would definitely order this again.

El Buen Comer is my favorite Mexican restaurant in San Francisco. The Pozole Verde With Chicken is divine: plenty of plump hominy and pieces of chicken. Also, the broth is exquisisitely thick, not watery. The tacos with carnitas were also very good; nothing beats a hand-made corn tortilla. These are my go-to choices whenever I order from here. This was my first time ordering Huevos Divorciados (PF). They were unforgettable. I so often get over- or under-cooked eggs when ordering at restaurants, but these were perfect, not at all greasy, and accompanied by just the right amount of frijoles and rice. I was worried the tortillas would be tough, since they're "lightly fried", but they weren't: no need for a knife! I will definitely be ordering them again. I just wish they would bring back their delicious PORK TAMALES which have been gone for almost a year now. I miss them every time I order from here.

The Pozole Verde With Chicken was, as always, excellent. Definitely the best pozole I've had in California. Reminds me of the Green Chile I've had in New Mexico, on Feast Days of Cochiti and San Ildefonso Pueblos. Lots of (ahem . . . indigenous) hominy and plenty of chicken --- not at all skimpy with these items as so many other restaurants are.
Also excellent was the Single Taco --- I got a doppio with Carnitas. I love El Buen Comer's Carnitas. Simply well-sautéed shredded pork on a hand-made corn tortilla. Also, they add half a lime to season the pork.
My only complaint: Bring back the pork tamales they stopped serving this year. They were the best tamales in San Francisco. So far, I haven't found a decent replacement.

Excellent Pozole Verde With Chicken -- nicely tart, perfect spice. Really yummy. The Enchiladas (PF) with chicken and green sauce also very good and particularly good with black beans and rice. And delicious Chips, Guacamole and Salsas - 3 sauces, good variety and wonderful taste. Thank you! Will definitely orrder again!!

This is the best Mexican takeout food in SF. No exaggeration. Totally under the radar spot. Everything I've ever ordered from here is delicious and reheats well. Spices are on point. Food is ready in time. Carnitas is not greasy, po olé is amazing, rice and beans are tasty, front counter staff is welcoming. This is my favorite Mexican restaurant on DoorDash. Quality is in everything they do.
