Delicious! I got the 3 Fish Tacos and my family got the Super Burrito Dinner 12” inner, the 3 Enchiladas Mexicanas , and we split the order of Nachos Supreme! My son doesn't like cilantro, and he was happy that the Guacamole Dip didn't have noticeable cilantro. The fish tacos did have cilantro, which was fine by me. Everything was spiced just a little (maybe a 2 or 3 on a scale of 1-10). Everything was super fresh, delicious, and abundant! Great meal!

They used to be our go-to, but it's just not as good as it used to be. Not much in the way of seasoning or flavor. The chips were very stale and not fresh. Portions were fine for the price. It wasn't terrible, but we likely won't order from here again.

Orders from El Campesino have been declining in quality. The Enchiladas De Mole looked great. But I got the Enchiladas Super Rancheras and it was a mess. The enchiladas were not well rolled or filled. I had to dig into each one to see what the filling might be because there wasnt enough filling close enough to the tortilla edges. I also dont like that you can't request any alterations. Someone in my house is dairy free but we can't request to leave cheese off of dishes. Finally when there are combo platters you cant select the types of item you want (for example when there is supposed to be a choice between beef or chicken) --so I never order those.

How does this place have 5 star reviews? I hadn't eaten here in about 14 years. I thought it'd be cool to try it again, because it used to be decent. I wanted American Mexican restaurant food; wasn't looking for authenticity. (Just wanted to say that so you know my expectations were realistic.) Ok, so here's what happened:
Ground beef is unseasoned. Completely unseasoned. You would have to try to make beef taste so flavorless. It's like if you took ground beef, browned it with some oil, then drained off the oil and rinsed the meat under running water for ten minutes. Then take the macerated ground beef and purée it until it's a slurry. That's what it's like.
Enchilada sauce is sweet tomato sauce; no chiles, no cumin, no nothing. Just tomato sauce, sugar, and disappointment.
The "chicken quesadilla" was a flour tortilla with a blob of shredded chicken next to a separate blob of cold cheese. The tortilla wasn't even folded over completely, and it definitely wasn't cooked at all. This wasn't just a low effort quesadilla. It didn't even meet the definition of a quesadilla. Just having the required components doesn't cut it. I can't take two slices of bread and two slices of cheese, slap them on a plate and call it a grilled cheese if the grilling process is omitted. Basically this was a cold soft taco, I guess? I didn't try it. It wasn't even pretending to be a quesadilla.
The kids wanted burgers. They're finicky, and since they hadn't eaten here before I figured burgers were a safe bet. Turns out the burger is way smaller than the bun. That might be because they overcooked it to oblivion, shrinking it up into a dry hockey puck. Also unseasoned. The bun was ok, so at least there's that.
I gave two stars is because the flan is good. It's coffee flan, which they don't specify on the menu, so my kids didn't like it. I enjoy coffee flavored desserts, so that's a win for me.
Overall this was a bland, mealy, simultaneously undercooked and overcooked disappointment.

Discovered this place recently and it's quickly becoming my favorite Mexican food place. Burritos, nachos, enchiladas, all delicious! Portions are on the small side but that's not a criticism, just keep it in mind for your ordering :)
