The best food ALL the time. Large Guacamole is excellently made with all fresh chopped cilantro, tomatoes, onion. To die for! Their Xcholti soup is my go to. Very fresh as well as tasty. Perfect for cold weather or if you're sick because gentle on your stomach. Highly recommend.

Ordered a small guacamole. It was put into a side salsa container. 2 tablespoons. Way too small for $7.20! Not pleased. Asked for a refund.. was denied without pic. Love La Penita… first time disappointed!

While staying in Redondo Beach I wanted to try a place I had never heard of and don't have at home. This was by far the best meal I have enjoyed in a long time. The Xcholti Soup is delicious and comforting. The taco had the best melty cheese and the chicken was so tasty and not dry as I have experienced at other places. Everything was so good and I will always come here now when I'm in town.

Best mexican I've had outside of mexico. Every single thing on the menu is amazing, period. Carnitas moist but crispy. Burritos (steak, fajita, shredded chicken) delicious. Sauteed spinach side with plenty of garlic.
I keep trying different things thinking they'll miss on something but not so far...

As always, El Gringo never disappoints!!! The carne asada dinner was perfect and delicious!!! The rice and beans were very tasty. The Diet Coke was the perfect ratio of ice and soda.
