Farmer and the Beast is a neighborhood food cart located in Northwest Portland. Like our name implies, we serve two distinct food types- Decadent Burgers and Fried Chicken Sandwiches, and Farm Fresh …
The winter bowl is my fave and is always good (bacon steak, egg and fried chicken are all excellent toppings). The Farmer-ade tonight was good but the other time I ordered it, it was extraordinary.

Pretty pedestrian. The Beast Burger is not that exciting- especially for $16+ burger, the fries were all nubbins and the only nice bit was the truffle mayo- which, since the fries weren't long enough to really dip in the sauce- well, it was a bummer meal all around that just cost too much. There are better options for less $$.

The amount of Hand Cut Fries is so small for the amount they are charging.. crazy.

Burger is really good. I personally dont think the Hand Cut Fries are worth the price - could just be my preference but they are extremely crispy with only a few having a soft, potato inside like french fries. if you like your fries hard and super fried, then you'll love them.

The Little Beast was made to order as I specified. It was a good quality of meat (I didn't taste much seasoning however). I was absolutely impressed by the special sauce (hands down.....made my whole experience!). Unfortunately, I didn't get to experience the side of hand cut fries (due to the fact that they were the bottom of the pan, burnt and so overly salted they were uneatable!!!!) they just ended up being a total waste of money......I threw them out immediately :(
