I have been looking for good soulfood while here in Stl and this did not dissapoint. Everything was excellent. I will be ordering again.Fish was fired really well. Chicken wings are on the small side but still good. Mac and cheese is very cheesy and flavorful!!!! Highly recommend you to try a lil bit of everything

The Baked Chicken Dark w/1 Side is tiny! Ive eaten here many times and this is unusually small. Also the chicken is either overcooked or old meat. Theres usually gravy on the dressing but none was on either of mines. The bourbon Chicken Wings were fire! Thats all I should have ordered. The sauce is really good and the wings were fresh! However the Chicken Wings are listed as an entree but you must order sides separately? The Collard Greens w/Smoked Turkey were ok.
The Baked Chicken White w/1 Side wing is tiny breast was ok in size but very dry. Ordered a soul sunrise drink but it was available.

The food wasnt hot or cold. Just mediocre. The chicken pieces very small and lacked seasoning. The Mac & cheese lacked seasoning and over cooked. The collard greens wasjt bad but too bitter and neededa lithle sugar to balance it out. The dressing was ok but was lacking something. Maybe cranberry sauce & a littlesalt & pepper.
I cook southern food and definitely know whats lacking. Over all it wasa decent lunch.
I will try other items next time maybe go in to the restaurant and eat. I love to support black owned businesses and hopefully have a better experience next time.

I had the old bay chicken wings they were delicious !!! Seasoned perfectly, not fried too hard or too soft. The macaroni was tasty and creamy. Green beans with the peppers had some tang to them they were soooo good! Everything was perfect

I was at a work event last night where the owner came and spoke to us and the food was so dang good I had to get more for lunch today before I fly back home. I will be taking a trip to STL just to take my friends here. The food is life changingly good. Best Mac and cheese ever. Everything tasted perfect. Best greens ever.
