Green Mesquite is solid. As a native Austinite, I've been eating there for years. It's been consistently good for as long as I can remember, with prices that are lower than the other bbq tourist traps of Austin.

This is a "eh its food" type of place. The Mac and cheese was over cooked, flavorless and ive had better come out the frozen section. The green beans are flavored with water. And the baked potato was dry to say the least. Turkey was okay but the deli section at the store has a better option

Huge chopped BBQ sandwich. Incredible amount of meat. It was lean with very little fat & you tasted the meat, not just the sauce. The potato salad, all I can say is that I ate it all & wanted more. Peach cobbler was the perfect flavor, not too sweet, not too tart. If you need a chocolate fix, the fudge pie is the way to go. I've added this place to my favorites.

I got the four meat plate and it was so dry the brisket was over cooked and had zero flavor. Chicken was okay it definitely wasnt fresh. The sausage and turkey were dry and not very tasty. I didnt even try the sides because they looked just as bad as the meat. Would not recommend.

I ordered Smoked Meats (2) Meat BBQ Plate with mac n cheese and jojo's. The mac n cheese was nothing to write home about. kraft boxed is better honestly. Jojos were good. The sausage was great, but the brisket was very dry and not seasoned great.
