I have eaten at quite a few Hangry Joe's in NoVa and am surprised in the inconsistency. In this case I ordered the usuals (12 wings medium and a side of slaw). The dasher was prompt but the wings were the smallest, saddest wings I've ever seen. I don't know what sort of emaciated juvenile chikens they came off of, but it was hard to distinguish a drum from a flat. The slaw was also dry to the point of almost being just shredded cabbage.
The food wasn't inedible but I don't think the prices charged were justified. I'll certainly try it again as maybe this was just a bad day. But it was underwhelming.

If Hot Lola's served food that had been frozen and was slightly lower in quality you'd get Hangry Joe's. The portion sizes were great though--- they gave enormous pieces of chicken and a huge bag of fries, though I didnt find them flavorful

The chicken was good but way, way spicier than anyone would reasonably expect. Even the mild was super spicy.

Chicken tastes fake, way too hot for even medium. Ordered waffle fries but got sweet potato fries. Not enough sauce given, everything was soggy. The Mac n cheese was plain pasta with unmelted shredded bits of cheese on top.

Usually good, but this time I got no spice on the chicken. Like none at all. Usually when I order mild, there's mild spice if that makes sense.
