• DoorDash orderThis was my very first experience with Highland House. I ordered the beef chimichanga with rice and beans, plus a to-go chips and salsa.
Chimichanga - The chimichanga was huge! Fully packed with nice tasting ground beef and an acceptable amount of cheese (could have really used more cheese though). All toppings were on the side as requested. By the time I got my meal, the chimichanga was no longer crispy, so I popped it into the air fryer. This was no fault of the restaurant - purely a DoorDash issue. I give the Chimi itself 5 stars.
Rice & Beans - Part of the dinner, but iwanted to comment on them separately. They were meh. It's not authentic Spanish rice. More like a yellow rice pilaf. Tasked like it came from a Knorr package. Beans were pretty good, but the cheese on top tasted like parmesan.
TOGO Chips and Salsa. Really disappointed in these. The chips were stale and flavorless. They had seasoning on some chips, but it was not great. Really just need to be fresh and salted. I dodnt like the salsa at all. Also came with some type of creamy salsa. Didn't care for that either. I give the chips and salsa ZERO stars.
Needless to say, my first experience was not great, but it warrants another try in the future. I will update my review whenever that day comes. Overall rating is 3 stars, and thats probably a little generous.

• DoorDash orderGouda Avocado Burger bun and bacon was burnt, requested no onion and it had onion all over it. very sloppy. Only a few fries. not worth the money.

• DoorDash orderThank you for staying alert and noting my allergies; I had ordered beans and rice as a side. Was given double beans as, apparently, the rice has SOY in it. I appreciate your efforts to keep me safe. The crunchy tacos are one of my favorite meals from Highland House.
