The delivered food here is so far consistently delicious. My favorite is uncle doe's sampler. I get greens, Mac and cheese, and black eye peas. The Mac and cheese is more old school baked casserole style. The greens are delicious but can be on the salty side. The 'sampler' size gives a really good portion of each. The fried chicken is good too!oh yeah the cake portions are ginormous. 1 slice of that Coconut Pineapple Cake is easily 3 servings!

Disgusting!!! Potato salad was spoiled and looks like mashed potatoes. Mac and cheese was ok noodles overdone and small portion i, cold hard cornbread red beans and rice watery and no flavor . This also use to come in a to go container now it's small side individual containers.. save your money

The waffle is thin and flavorless. The butter is salted, making the waffle taste salty instead of sweet. The syrup is probably just high fructose and not real maple syrup. Wheres the vanilla? Wheres the flavor? Heavy salt isnt the only flavor.
At first look I thought the portions looked small but I actually had leftovers. The chicken strips are a bit too salty but overall they're pretty good. The Macaroni & Cheese needs more noodles. The ratio of cheese vs noodles is off.

Chicken was so dry and hard, it was not edible. Seemed like it was fried many hours earlier and sat drying out under heat lamps. The two waffles came in the same container as the chicken, buried at the bottom under a piece of parchment paper, but were completely soaked wet from condensation. They were like 2 wet sponges. The mac&cheese was way underseasoned, almost flavorless. The potato salad tasted ok after adding a lot of salt & pepper. The smothered potatoes were very tasty and enjoyable. For a restaurant known for its chicken and waffles, I'd expect the chicken and waffles to arrive in an edible state, even at 8pm (open til 10p).

Delicious and flavorful as always!! Nice portions and always consistent in quality!! Mac and cheese--delicious! Greens--delicious! Fried chicken--crispy and delicious! This is my go-to for food for the soul!!
