This was my first time ordering from Hot Peppercorn Asian Cuisine & Bar and it did not disappoint. The Spicy Kung Pao Chicken with Peanuts was fresh and flavorful, and I appreciated the generous portion. The fried rice was very good, too. Not greasy. The only thing that would have been better is that I ordered this dish extra spicy, and it was only a little spicy. Still, I'd order from this restaurant again. I should mention it's a little pricey.. It's worth splurging every once in a while.

I ordered the Roast duck over rice and it was delicious. Cheaper than other places as well. Most places charge more and don't even include rice on it. Favorited the restaurant so I can order from this place again.

Got the Salty Pork & Preserved Egg Congee / 皮蛋瘦肉粥 & Egg Drop Soup / 蛋花汤. Egg drop soup flavored very well. Congee missing authentic ginger flavor but other than that very yummy especially for sick days.

Portion size on the spicy dry hot pot was tiny, even with adding additional vegetables. Mala tang is definitely the place to beat for this in northern VA.
Dan Dan was not authentic tasting.
Diced chicken with dry chili peppers was great tasting but the chicken was soggy. Wouldn't order for delivery over 15 min away.

the fried dumplings are always a hit!
4 stars because I asked for "No Onions and extra peanuts" in my Kung Pao chicken order and I got onions and standard amount of peanuts. still a very tasty dish.
