I agree with the review that mentioned their batter is the only in the city that isn't super salty. Maybe I got a bad batch, but there was far more batter that actual bird. It was like cracking a walnut or shucking corn to get to the goods.

Finally a chicken place that doesn't try to kill you with salt. 4 piece fried chicken was crispy and juicy with a pleasant bite of spice. chicken tenders were large juicy white meat pieces with a crunchy coating. Corn fritters and okra were just like homemade. Nothing was greasy and everything arrived hot. Will definitely be ordering again.

I really hope me eating one of the Chicken White Meat (3 Pieces) before snapping the photo doesn't negatively effect my credits, but when I tell y'all them other chicken spots better up their recipes, I mean it. The crisp on the skin is fried to PERFECTION and the meat, to say it's white (which drys easily), was super juicy! I love it I LOVE IT I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. Oh and the lovely fluffy biscuit I cannot wait to bite and enjoy. Thank y'all for being here! Yummy

Highway Chicken has consistently upheld its great quality food. Even after 3 mile delivery from the restaurant to my home, the food arrived hot and crispy. No greasy,oily taste here like Popeyes. This chicken never fails to meet expectations . Even fried onion rings are fresh and crispy when they arrive. No frozen rings. Bisquits are made from scratch and come with the order. Highly recommend this little known secret spot. . . .
