Chicken & Waffle - Waffle was fluffy and delicious. Chicken was pretty tasty (not dry and chewy like other places). I didn't get hot sauce but I had a backup for the extra kick! ;-)

Overall very disappointing for our first (and last) time trying this place.
Positives: the Ida's Biscuits were great. The homemade jam and honey butter were the highlight. Gravy was decent, but likely better when dining-in (we got delivery).
My 11 year old LOVED the French Toast , berries were super fresh and he said 10/10.
16-year-old devoured the Chicken & Waffle and the tiny taste I got was very good.
Husband said that the Monte Cristo wasn't great. Chips were under seasoned and didn't taste very fresh (again could be delivery there). The bread was just plain toasted white bread, so it was mushy and soggy (a heartier bread would have been better). He said it was just like a regular ham and cheese sandwich, but the strawberry sauce was good.
There's nothing "Creole" about the Creole Gumbo. The soup base is definitely from a package/can, it had chunks of tomato (sacrilege) in it and the only redeeming quality was the chicken and sausage which tasted fresh and was quite good. I am Cajun myself so have high gumbo standards...but they do call it "Creole" and they honestly shouldnt. This was just awful. They also charged me for oysters and crawfish that I added, but they forgot them and the serving size was terrible (pictured) for the price/quality.
The Fried Green Benedict was not as advertised & contained no "fried" green tomatoes, just regular sliced green tomatoes (pictured). The home fries were underseasoned and basic, the hollandaise was very vinegar heavy, as they used either white vinegar or apple cider vinegar to make it, which was super overpowering.. otherwise consistency was good. Typically hollandaise has lemon juice... so perhaps just not for me. So it would be good if you love very vinegar heavy hollandaise. The ham was not shaved as pictured on doordash, but in big dry ham steak chunks (see delivery pics), which made it harder to eat. The eggs were poached perfectly and the only enjoyable part.

Nervous about the fried food and traveling but I initially chose this place because of their Fried Green Tomatoes and Crawfish Corn Fritters I've had dining in. They traveled great! Of course not as good as hot and fresh with the Ida Claire atmosphere but delicious! Crab Cake was the perfect portion, texture and flavor.

So super impressed with this place!! Ida'clare this to be a FABULOUS pick when you are in the mood for some comfort soul food! Best fried green tomatoes Ive had in a good long while - the reg. mixed green salad with their handmade vinaigrette is delicious as can be and the grits were bites of creamy cheesy goodness - I think Ive found my new go to for southern comfort food!

Small portion for the shrimp and grits for the cost but it tasted great. Good value for the biscuits and gravy and it was so good.
