YUM! Best deal on high quality unagi that I know of in the city. Salmon sushi was beautiful too, I love their perfect sushi rice flavor and the seasme seeds and all the flavors. This place does everything right.

Bring takoyaki and honey toast to doordash and it's a 6 out of 5. Favorite place nonetheless. Chicken Katsu Curry is a recurring for me alongside miso to help wash it down and keep me warm. (Even in this weather, shush). Seafood and pork is always fresh by the way, I always have other items normally added on, but the portions are too good and I need to slow down.

The yakitori (skewers) were all terrible... no sauce/marinade or FLAVOR
what I ordered were 2 of the chicken thigh, 1-beef tongue, 1-pork belly, and 1-unagi skewer. They all just tasted like boiled or burnt meat on a stick- no care placed into the preparation whatsoever! So sad. The fried gobo was also very underwhelming- tasted like nothing but old grease. the poke bite was not fresh and SO SMALL one bite and it went to the garbage! Only 2 items were worth my entire order... the katsudon, which would still be far better if they cooked it in dashi, or at least gave you some sauce for it; the eggplant was decent, good flavor but dry/overcooked. If you're considering an order from Its Izakaya, I'd either save my money and order elsewhere or stick to a meal as all of the little things add up to a large bill and are so not worth the packaging they come in!

Look no further for actual quality Japanese food. Elated to have found a new go to spot. The unagi bowl is it for me.
