This is one of the exceedingly few restaurants in the US - and the only one in New England I gave seen - that serves *actual* carbonara. Most American restaurants (especially the chains like Olive Garden, Cheesecake Factory, etc) will throw some bacon and peas in an alfredo sauce and call it "carbonara." That is NOT carbonara and it's ridiculous so many Americans think it is. Carbonara is made with eggs and Romano, and THAT is what you get at Joey Garlics. The meat is a little unusual - sausage and bacon, instead of pancetta - but in my mind this still qualifies as a real carbonara, and one way or another is very good for anyone who wants a solid, hearty meal rich with egg, meats, and Romano. Very good!

Had so so so much oil/grease it was inedible. So bummed; I have had this before and it was great, but this time- reall bad. May be difficult to tell in the pic but it was soaking in oil. The crust was like taffy - chewy, whatever oil the cardboard box and pizza could not absorb was just sopping on the parchment

Restaurant is typically on point and good food.  I had to wait over an hour for my order had three separate Dashers come to pick up my order that's how long the wait was! I get it they were probably short staffed or busy. Ordered soup of the day which is Italian wedding soup. Nothing in it but broth and spinach and three tiny little meatballs. Very disappointing. Pizza was just OK. Usually the pizza is phenomenal Taste a different look different but edible very disappointed. Enjoy garlics today 10/19 service.

Fries were super oily not crispy pizza was really greasy the only reason I have them 3 stars were because of the ribs they were very goody crispy and sauced nicely . The galic parm tenders were oily as well my bag and containers were oily
