It's Grated Fresh Carrots Cooked in Milk maybe a li'l water + Sugar. Slow Cooked to reduce the Milk. Flavored with ' Cardamom ', & Often Garnished with Slivered Almonds & Raisins.
Oldtime Classic !!! Some people like it Cold with Milk. I like it with ' Vanilla Soymilk '.

Looks like it's ' Slow Cooked to release the flavor of ' special secret spices '. Naan Bread was ' Fresh, Fluffy & Hot '. Think they bake these in the Tandoor Clay Oven. Recommend !! Kabana ' Steals the Show ' once again !!!! Not many cook Haleem in Berkeley. Requires very slow cooking overnight. Lentils, Barley n Chicken w/ Turmeric Spice, Salt & Magic Spices. The ' Pakistani Aunty ' who mans the Counter is ' Kind & Patient '. Helps out her Dad and will explain and break everything down for you !!!
