I ordered the Box of 4 Mixed Cupcakes with a happy Happy Birthday logo disk. I added specific instructions that the recipient loves chocolate so I wanted at least one chocolate cupcake in the box. They made sure all the cupcakes were chocolate and the recipient loved it.

delicious, mini (of course) but for the price, not worth it. $4 for something the size of a quarter, overpriced. wish I just bought full cupcakes somewhere else or a cake.

I've ordered from here for years and numerous times thru doordash, as I can't get to the Marina w/o a car so I love that I can still get them..even tho its a bit pricey especially since you can't buy singles but they're so good you wouldn't want singles anyways ;) One of the last times I ordered (a couple months ago)a 4 pack whomever filled my order was the BEST EVER and I couldn't believe when they left a sweet note saying they hope they brightened my day, as I did for them and they gifted me DOUBLE what I ordered so I got two 4 packs which was so thoughtful and appreciated maybe they recognized my name since I've ordered from there at least a minimum of maybe 10x last year and a few times this year. Years ago I was in line at the store and Kara herself was walking in and was SO kind and generous she told her cashier to give me and the other person in line one of her new flavored cupcakes at the time which was Oreo. Ive always remembered that cos she was obviously VERY busy but still took a second to be personable and generous, when she didnt have to! I've never had a bad nor stake cupcake from them and have never had a bad flavor even when I didn't get the ones I wanted! They are awesome and always try to accommodate which flavors you want but if you order later in the day there's a chance they might be low stock. When I first starting coming here YEARS ago my fave was I think it's called velvet chocolate or something similar not just regchoco. It's kinda like a mix of milk and dark..has a tiny but of that bitterness that milk chocolate doesn't have but it's balanced very well with the frosting and chocolate Sprinkles. But more recently I'd have to say my absolute fave is the Vanilla! The Sprinkles are a cute touch and add a little texture and I just love it and hopefully someday I can afford to get a full cake in that flavor! My second fave is the Tuxedo! It's the yummy vanilla frosting with a REALLY amazing chocolate cake. Im wanting some now just thinking of them! My fave seasonal is the strawberry I forgot what its called but it's so good it's filled with strawberry and kinda like a Shortcake but not quite it's better!
Their cookies are also amazing! I love the confetti one and I will say I have had a semi stale one before but that's OK it was still edible. Once you have a super chewy and fresh one tho..it's a bit easier to tell when it's not but I don't expect them to be constantly cranking out cookies as their a cupcake based buisness anyways! Sometimes I could tell when it was made by different bakers cos sometimes they're out of this world and others their good but not as good as other times. Never bad tho ;) I personally have never had any issues with them. Once or twice I didn't get the flavors I wanted and got ones I wasn't super keen on BUT they are not at fault for that as that would be my fault for ordering too late or close to closing ect. I think MAYBE once I had that happen earlier in the day but was prob a weekend and I imagine my fave flavors are the most popular ones too. From my long review you can tell I love this place!

I used to be a weekly customer and was so grateful to be able to order from Kara's thru DD cos I don't have a car anymore but I'm sad they have recently started charging a $10 fee for the distance when the last time I ordered there and the million times before this was never an issue but maybe I'll splurge for my bday next week or somehow get a ride there or even take the bus cos Kara's is WORTH IT! their employees are always so kind and super generous when I ordered on Xmas eve they gifted me some extra mini cupcakes and it truly made my Xmas! especially cos I'm on a very low and tight budget but anytime I have the extra funds I always would treat myself to some cupcakes! I'm not typically a vanilla person but their vanilla cupcakes and Tuxedo are hands down the best cupcakes I've EVER had and I literally savor every single bite. only took the star off cos the new extra fee which after the cost of the cakes is a bit too much for me. theyre not super expensive and priced pretty right but you can't buy singles on DD. also their confetti cookies are some of the best cookies I've ever had and I've ordered 6 pack of them a few times cos they're amazing especially when they're super fresh and just the perfect amount of chewy not too soft and not hard. love these guys! Kara is also super amazing herself as she was once coming into the store one time I was there and she told the cashier to give me and another person in line their seasonal oreo cupcake on the house...just out of her generosity and appreciation for her customers! can't say enough about this place and this is my second review cos I love and miss them so much but luckily it's bout to be my birthday hehe might have to finally get a full size cake ;) I've been coming here for a really long time over a decade for sure I think I started coming when I was in my late teens around maybe 2007/2008ish? their velvet chocolate is what first got me hooked and is still a fave. as you can tell I could go on and on about Kara's forever hahaha just had to leave a detailed review even tho its lengthy just cos I love this place so much!

I ordered the 4 cupcake box and a confetti cookie and they were all incredible! Fresh, preferably cooked and beautifully iced! I HIGHLY recommend this bakery!!
