Kawa is my absolute favorite sushi place. I love the baked rolls like the Japanese Lasagna Roll and the original house rolls like the Lisa Lisa Roll. But everything is so fresh and flavorful. I adore the atmosphere in the restaurant but even getting it sent by door dash makes my whole day. Thank you for being my favorite home town spot.

The sushi was fresh and well-made. Everything tasted great and was nicely prepared. We picked up the order and it was ready on time and packed neatly. The Amaebi Sweet Shrimp was melt-in-your-mouth good, and the Roppongi Roll had the perfect balance of texture and spice. Made for a great date night in.

the Grand Canyon roll is one of my all time favorite sushi rolls. If you're able to go in person the sake options are also top tier, hot or cold. a must go stop for food in downtown Rockford

All the sushi is amazing. The gyoza has potential for sure but I'm used to it being meatier, just tasted like veggies. The miso soup was decent but not good enough to order again unfortunately. I love miso and have had better. Overall we loved the restaurant and plan to order again.
