Food quality was great across the board
The Seared Eel with Miso Cream Cheese is a must-order; the eel sauce paired with the miso cream cheese feels light on your tongue, but packed with flavor. The Salmon Toro* melts in your mouth (to the right of the Southern Bluefin Toro* in the photo) and the Seared Salmon Toro* is a slightly tougher but smoky bite. The Southern Bluefin Toro* was great, but be mindful that it only comes with one piece as shown in the photos.
I hadn't tried Fried Takoyaki before, but the creamy octopus filling was unlike anything I'd ever tasted. It's a solid hot dish if you like something milder in flavor.
I finished my meal with the Sesame Balls. They were a subtly sweet and crunchy end to a great meal. Highly recommend.

The sushi was a letdown. Small portions, sloppy presentation, and bland taste. The salmon had an odd texture, and the rolls were falling apart. Definitely not worth the price. Won’t be ordering again.

my go-to place closed early so I figured I would try this one had some decent specials. Well.. this definitely a case of "you get what you pay": for the consistency of the what I'm assuming is supposed to be the spicy tuna was literally mush and the portion of it the ratio of it to rice was negligible, the California roll was -passable- I guess the best word for it is inoffensive. Salmon skin roll was oddly greasy and I've never had one with lettuce in it before, but the flavor overall was acceptable, the little cucumber salad was actually kind of tasty, just wasn't much of it, and the little piece of sort of grilled Sashimi with the spot of Yuzu on it- can't recall the name of the fish now- that was actually quite tasty but otherwise if you can't nail the basics then perhaps this is not the type of cuisine you should be preparing. Also, wasabi should NOT be crunchy.

Anything not cooked I honestly didn't feel comfortable eating, and I prefer raw fish. It was cheap, so I didn't have high expectations but everything raw had an odd color and/or pieces on it that were unappetizing like skin, bones, and tendons. Overall, I didn't eat much of what I ordered and that was a major bummer, but what I felt okay eating tasted decent.
