This was literally a big bbq mix plate.. the plate was very good.. reminds me of plate lunches back home in Hawaii!!!

I love L&L, but I was severely disappointed today. I ordered the BBQ Mix Plate which was filled to the brim with meat, and it was so good. However, my Seafood Platter was abysmal. Just sad. I had HALF a fish in it. Like literally it was cut in half. You could see the fish on the inside of the breading. It was such a tiny small portion and I paid almost 20 dollars for it. Not okay.

People on the mainland just don't know how to make Hawaiian food. I lived there 13 yrs but visited since the 80's. The ratio of spam to rice in the misubi is was off. Too much rice and very thin piece of Spam. Plus it was not tasty. I remember now why I didn't like it the first time. The Kahlua pork and cabbage: needed more cabbage. I had Kiawe smoke flavor at home which I added to enhance the flavor. They were stingy with the Mac salad. Rice was cooked ok. L&L is very well known in Hawaii. Their chicken Katsu is to die for at home. I was so excited to see L&L come to the mainland but I expected the same quality as I got on the islands. I hope L&L commits to this and trains the mainlanders right.

Pork was good but the rib was hard to bite into, the chicken seemed like it had been sitting under the heat didnt taste fresh and the sheimp was almost cold and seemed like it wasnt.cooked fresh The vegetable portion was small.

Disappointed. This is not my first time eating from here. The first time was amazing but this time not so much. The HALF & HALF BBQ BEEF & CHICKEN PLATE chicken wasn't seasoned at all. They tried to be skimpy on the Mac and put half a serving on top of rice. Will not be coming here ever again. Definitely definitely not worth it the second time.
