• DoorDash orderBolillos con Queso, Jalapeños & jamon Pastry is quickly becoming my favorite breakfast/brunch sandwich. It's a large (9" x 3") bolillo roll filled with ham, cream cheese and pickled jalapenos. The pickled jalapenos have less heat than the fresh kind; they just add a bit of zip. If you prefer no spice, they also sell ones with ham and cream cheese only.
FLAN GELATINA makes a nice dessert after spicy food. It has a slightly firmer texture than regular flan, but the same great caramel taste. Serving it in a plastic cup makes it less messy to eat.
DUNKIN DONUT COLD COFFEE comes in 3 flavors (regular, mocha and vanilla) and all 3 are delicious. Good sized (13.7 oz) serving. Not all bakeries serve beverages, so I appreciate being able to get my breakfast and coffee drink all in one place.

Pan de PAN DE ELOTE (Cornbread) was different than I expected. For one thing, it was sweet, and the top half had a custardy texture, almost like flan.
Unfortunately, they didn't wrap it before putting it in the bag, and it leaked all over. Moist items like this should really be wrapped in waxed paper or plastic wrap before being placed in a paper bag with other items.
Cream-filled Churros Pastry is usually my favorite item from this store, but today it tasted kind of stale. Also got a little damp from the PAN DE ELOTE.

Rollos de Fresa y Coco Pastry is appealing to the eye as well as the taste buds. The cakelike pastry is filled with strawberry jelly and rolled in finely chopped coconut.
Pineapple Empanadas de Frutas Pastry was tasty as well. Flaky piecrust filled with a sweet fruit filling.

• DoorDash orderBolillos con Queso, Jalapeños & jamon Pastry was a nice alternative to a sandwich. It's just as described - a bolillo roll filled with cream cheese, pickled jalapenos and ham. A bit of heat from the jalapenos, but not too hot.
Empanadas de Frutas Pastry (turnover) was sweet and tasty. I had the bavarian cream today. Tried the strawberry the other day and it was delicious also.
DUNKIN DONUT COLD COFFEE went well with the pastry. Very strong vanilla flavor.

• DoorDash orderI was feeling like something sweet and wanted something different from the usual donuts, so I thought I'd try this place.
The Empanadas de Frutas Pastry is probably my favorite. I chose the pumpkin flavor, which was like eating a little indivual sized pumpkin pie. Pastry is not too sweet - similar to brioche.
The Rollos de Fresa y Coco Pastry are my other favorite. Yellow sponge cake up rolled with strawberry jelly filling (like for a jelly donut) and then rolled in finely ground coconut. This was delicious and also about twice as big as it appeared in the picture.
The Cortadillo Pastry was the only one I found disappointiing. It's just basic yellow cake with buttercream frosting. The cake was stale and they gave me white frosting when I asked for pink.
They were evidently out of the churros so I can't rate this item. The pastry they substituted was not bad - looked like a bear claw, but with a strawberry filling. Also a huge portion.
I will definitely try this bakery again. I'd like to try the other flavors of the Empanadas de Frutas Pastry. Hopefully they won't be out of the churros next time.
