Honestly, I just want my money back. I usually order the turkey sandwich from this place—it’s nothing spectacular, but it’s consistent and edible, so I stuck with it. This time, I decided to branch out, and that turned out to be a mistake.
The new bacon sandwich was a definite no for me. It felt like I was mostly biting into bread with barely anything inside to balance it out, and the bacon was burnt—not crispy, just burnt. I’m guessing it was due to whatever sugary coating they used, but either way, the taste was bitter and off-putting. That same burnt flavor carried over to the crème brûlée, which was disappointing. I’ve had plenty of crème brûlée before, and the sugar is supposed to be toasted, not scorched. This was just bitter and inedible.
I usually love anything lemon, but the lemon tart was also a miss. The cherry cheesecake had a bit more potential, but even that didn’t quite hit the mark.
Then came the fruit bowl, which was literally just watermelon and cantaloupe. Some pieces were overripe, others were underripe and hard, and some were practically white, like scraps cut too close to the rind. It was bitter, flavorless, and honestly a little sad.
The salad was fine—just a salad. Nothing fresh or flavorful enough to make me want to reorder it.
Overall, this was one of those orders that made me regret not sticking with what I know. The turkey sandwich is probably the only thing I’d consider getting again, but after this experience, I’ll be taking a break from this place for a while.
