Locanda Portofino, tucked away on Santa Monica's popular Montana Avenue, is a lovely neighborhood hideaway featuring Florestano Caracciolo di Nicastro's masterfully crafted cuisine.
Pollo Parmigiana was under cooked. The Capellini Checca was tasteless and it is usually their most amazing pasta. Don't know how this happened. I was disappointed for the first time.

I have ordered this pasta at least 100 times. I live a block away from the restaurant. I always ask for extra garlic cloves. They aren't consistent with how many you get order to order.... I love garlic.
Todsy they sent 4 raw garlic cloves on the side? So I am supposed to cook the garlic? I understand that modifications can be annoying. But usually they add extra garlic no problem . I can't eat raw garlic with my pasta so when &
If I order again hopefully they sauté it first.
I love this restaurant. I don't think asking for extra garlic in my $40 with tip and fees lunch is unreasonable.
