The Wok-tossed Lemongrass Chicken Bun Ga Xao was delicious. I would have prefered it with no sugar and lots more herbs but the quality of the chicken was 5-stars (the photo does not do it justice - I'm VERY picky with meat and every bite was excellent) - it was a highly flavorful delicious dish. The spring Tofu Spring Rolls (2) Goi Cuon Dau Hu were fine - nothing special. I did not taste any herbs, very bland flavor, and the ginger sauce was way too sweet - these could be improved. The 4 stars is for too much sugar and not enough herbs (ditch the lettuce and add herbs) but this is very fresh high quality food that is head and shoulders above other Vietnamese restaurants I've tried and I look forward to trying their other dishes.

Usually everything we get at Lua Viet is delicious and amazing. I love the tofu luc lac - but this time it was mushy and doughy. Perhaps it wasn't cooked enough. It was Father's Day so maybe they were really busy. I imagine it is just an off night but I wanted to let you know.

When you spend nearly 40 dollars for 2 vermicelli dishes, you expect to at least have fish sauce included in your order. So we are left with a bunch of dry noodles and basically inedible dishes.
