Im from the south and honey let me tell you! This is the best plate ive had up north. Mac and cheese was delicious, greens were so flavorful, the whiting was seasoned and fried to perfection! Soooo good 10/10

Ordered from this restaurant a few times Always honey garlic Flavored Wings (4 Pcs whole wings) First couple times the wings were thick and smothered in sauce. Sides are delicious Last time i ordered, the wings were much smaller. They may miss items in your order sometimes as well.

The food at Madre & Son is TOP NOTCH! Savory, finger-licking goodness and so so fresh! The collards are to die for! The fish is so flaky and the mac?? Dont get me started! Like I said before, give me 14 of everything!!

Hands down the best soul food in Newark! Whitings? Crispy and flaky tender! Mac and Cheese? Cheesy, flavorful with that good crust on top! Collard Greens? On a whole other level! Give me 14 of them right now!! ¡WEPA!
