Bay Area natives Eiichi Mochizuki and Koji Kiura proudly serve authentic Hakata-style noodles at Marufuku Ramen. The first location opened in San Francisco back in 2017, and now leads a highly acclaim…
Very happy with this bento! If you are not a huge eater, this is easily two meals at great price. I always love their tonkotsu ramen and the salad dressing was a dream! I am a very picky curry eater who has been endlessly trying to find the taste of my favorite childhood restaurant (since out of business) and while this is not the curry I was looking for, it was homey, comforting, and enjoyable - I will be ordering again . Katsu and karaage were both great as well.
I appreciate that the ramen was packed separately, allowing me to boil the broth until piping hot before putting it together - kept the noodles bouncy and perfect.

Katsu Curry Bento was incredibly delicious and came with very large portions. Katzu was nice and crispy, but not greasy and well cooked. Curry itself hit the right spot for me. And so many sides! Perfect for some leftovers the next day. Recommend highly.

Marufuku's takeout ramen impressed with thin, al dente noodles that encourage savoring each bite, paired with a rich, balanced pork or chicken broth bursting with flavor. However, the noodle portion was small, with only one tiny seaweed sheet. Despite requesting no sprouts or mushrooms, both were included. The jammy egg’s yolk was perfect, but the whites lacked the depth of a well-marinated soy egg. Thoughtful execution, but order accuracy and portion size need work. I’d try again, hoping for better customization.

Marufuku does a lot right with their ramen - one of my top impressions with their dish is their AMPLE broth:noodle ratio (esecially for takeout). I've ordered takeout from other places is the area and always have to order extra broth. Marufuku does it right the first time!
This is probably the only place I'll order Ramen from in the area from now on...

Broth in tonkatsu ramen was high quality but I didnt like the super thin noodles. Also the noodles, meat, toppings etc seemed very small in quantity for $18. Order was prepared quickly and packaged well.
