Has some aspects of authenticity in taste and texture, but still the best Cuban food I have tried in DC. Portions also look larger compared to the pictures and were overall well priced. Will order again

The Garbanzos Fritos (Vegetarianos) / Fried Peas (Vegetarian) was really good! The rice had a bit of an odd taste, it kind of tasted a little fishy but eating the rice with the chickpeas & black beans I couldn't taste that fishy taste anymore. There was a nice balance of savory and sweet with the sides that I chose (black beans and plaintains). The Pie De Pie De Limon "La Chali" / Chali's Lime Pie was good but there wasn't much of a lime taste and the texture was a bit odd.

The Cuban sandwich was a bit dry and didn't have much seasoning.
The croquetas and empanadas were great. I really loved the bite size empanadas.

The fish today was inedible, smelled fishy and ropa vieja was full of fat, watery and bland. It's especially disappointing because I know that place is usually very good.
