IN DOWNTOWN SAN ANTONIO, TX, AUTHENTIC TEXMEX FOOD
Pete and Cruz Cortez founded a small threetable cafe at San Antonio's Mercado in 1941 for earlyrising farmers and workers.
Mi Tierra Café is a TexMex…
My order was delicious and delivered quickly! The Cheese Enchiladas were delicious, the Pork Tamales were perfectly cooked, and the prickly pear Large Margarita was especially refreshing.

Fajitas for two were decent. Not worth $53. Barely any onions or peppers. We only got 6 tortillas... we also were missing the guacamole, pico de gallo and utensils. We are in a hotel so we had use our hands/fingers. The homemade tortillas were good though. Just not worth $53....

The food was very cold and the Cheese Enchiladas were swimming in grease. The cheese was waxy and congealed. All around, this was not worth the money. I've been to Mi Tierra many times and have always been pleased with the food. I couldn't even finish my lunch.

Menudo was good, but could have been great if they allowed you to request options. I would have loved to request more hominy. Also no tortilla or bread was given with it. But I did finish it and the flavor was delicious and tripe was soft.

Overall good food. The rice on the cheese enchilada plate was excellent, but the beans were lackluster. The enchiladas themselves were pretty tasty with the sauce being perfect.
All in all, not my favorite but definitely worth the money because the food was good.
