Authentic Peruvian fare served in a casual dining restaurant; known for its Empanadas, Lomo Saltado (Beef Tenderloin Stir Fry), Fish Ceviche and desserts.
I had Lomo Saltado (LF, GF option available) and it was probably the best thing I've eaten in awhile. It was so good, I would eat it everyday if I could. lol. It was pricey but you should spend extra and add the egg and plantains. It was a lot of food but I couldn't stop eating it. The meat was tender, juicy and not over cooked. The sauce was so tasty. My only regret is that I didn't try it sooner. The Colombian Empanadas (GF, LF) was delicious also.

The pesto of the TALLARINES VERDES/ PESTO FETTUCCINE (GF option available) is absolutely delicious but, as a vegetarian, I wish the vegetables that came with (for an extra $4.75 (or something like that))were more fitting to mix with pesto sauce. The vegetables on their own were very flavorful but are like a soy/sesame flavor that doesn't really go with pesto flavor. Thankfully they're served separately from the pasta but felt the pasta really could've used some vegetables tossed in like peas, zucchini, broccoli, maybe olives...
The veggies that were served were mostly onion... could use a lot more broccoli and peapods for the price. Also the vegetables come swimming in a very soupy sauce... didn't really understand that. (Included photo of the vegetables swimming in the sauce).
Everything else, especially the raspberry TARTS was amazing!

I really wanted to order this tonight but they close early on Sundays :(
Last time I ordered, EVERYTHING was delicious!!
I had the LOCRO DE ZAPALLO (GF, VG) which is this stew of pumpkin, squash, tofu and a large white bean that I always forget the name of. I wish I knew what spices they use but the amalgamation is spectacular! The stew can be a little on the runny side but comes with a nice amount of white rice.
I always LOVE the flavors of the CHAUFA/ FRIED RICE (LF, GF option available)!! One of my faves!
VEGAN PERUVIAN EMPANADA (VG) are always great. I'm pretty sure they're supposed to come with 2 sauces and they often forget, so that's very frustrating because they're phenomenal! This time I got 2 of the spicy red one but not the green cilantro.
This has been my one complaint, kind of consistently.
I did happen to purchase a BOTELLA DE SALSA/ SAUCE BOTTLE 12 oz (GF, VG) of the green cilantro-lime sauce, which I highly recommend! I put it on everything!!! (Eggs, rice and beans, salads). They have 2 other red sauces available to buy by the bottle. I wish they'd list ingredients. I also wish they'd offer smaller versions to purchase (like just a small cup).
I always get the PAPAS FRITAS/ FRENCH FRIES (GF, VG) which usually come pretty soggy and not all that special.... but I am a potato fanatic and if they actually send the 2 sauces, the potatoes are great dipped in the them!
CARROT CAKE (GF) is superb and is a huge piece!

Authentic Peruvian food. Lomo Saltado is so amazing with great flavors and very fair portions. Can't go wrong with the Colombian Beef Empanadas. I prefer the fish only Ceviche over the mixed seafood Ceviche.

Wow!! I've never had Peruvian food before and, despite being a little cautious with my order (am a vegetarian, so am always a little leery of the unknown), I gotta say, so far am immensely impressed and eager to try other things.
First of all, the (vegetarian) Empanadas: never having a Peruvian empanada before, I didn't know what to expect... there was a spice (or spices) in the filling that I could not decipher and that I definitely have never encountered before. Had such an interesting aroma and flavor, I literally don't know how to describe it, but it was delicious with amazing flaky dough and came with a lovely green sauce (cilantro based, I think).
Keeping it "safe", I got the Vegetarian Fried Rice. And tbh, wasn't expecting much from that but I was very pleasantly surprised. I'd have to say it's way better than most typical Chinese American fried rice... not greasy, a good variety of fresh vegetables, lots of egg and tasted very much like how I make it at home. And there was a LOT, which, considering the price, was nice to see!
Last, the pièce de résistance, the Chocolate Cake with Dulce De Leche Filling!!! OMG!!!
I also really appreciate that the menu mentions what can be made vegan or vegetarian... that means a lot to us veg folk!!
Speaking of which, if you're not sure what to expect and unsure, go to their website and just look at the photos of their dishes. That's what sold me! Plus the descriptions of the menu items are more comprehensive on the website.
Looking forward to visiting the restaurant some time!
