One of the containers had melted all over the place; it was a cascade of chocolate! I think our driver made at least one too many stops! The ice cream was delicious, but like all else, not much goodies in in the ice cream! What was in there was wonderful - just not enough! Like I said, it's par for the course these days. Also, they need to get MUCH better containers to hand pack their ice cream into, as they seemed flimsy to me! Now, a good thing; I passed by the 4.5 rated ice cream and gelato stores because they offered only 1 kind of chocolate choice. Swenson's though, had several, and THAT'S the way it should be!! For chocolate enthusiasts, one choice is just too measly, and just not right! So, I was tickled to see their variety! I definitely recommend, as it's great ice cream!!

HUUUUGE selection of flavors to choose from! Lots of options for toppings including hot chocolate fudge. The logistics of delivering a double decker ice cream cone to your door are far too complex to attempt and thankfully Mitchells and DoorDash recognize this by offering the cones sold in separately packaged boxes that you would buy at the grocery store. Don't complain that you can't just get one cone. How gross would that lonely, dry, crumbling cone be jostling around in the bag with your frozen scoops of ice cream secured in their tightly sealed container? Buy a box of cones and I guarantee you that you'll be ordering more ice cream from Mitchell's on DoorDash before they get stale.

The Egg Nog ice cream is one of the best things I have ever tasted. Same with Grasshopper, and really any of Mitchells ice creams. This place is an SF gem.

Great selection of ice cream flavors that are great tasting and excellent creamy texture. This is the original, old school ice cream shop with a variety of Filipino, Mexican and American flavors. My family have been frequenting this store since the 80's and I am now extending this tradition to my wife, my son, my friends and my co workers. Unmatched and unsurpassed ice cream store in our unconventional and unpredictable City by the Bay.

I'mkind of picky about icecream, especially about certain old school flavors. I really th Michell's has the best Rocky Road and nut flavored icecreams like Pistachio and Toasted Almond. It's really good icecream. I'm sure the other flavos are equally good as well.
