The food at No.1 actually has great flavor. Not just salt with a vaguely Chinese style somewhere in the background which seems to be an issue at most Chinese restaurants around here. Also, unlike most places, items marked "hot & spicy" actually have a bit of a kick without being overpowering. There are only 2 really, REALLY good Chinese restaurants in the Branford/ East Haven area and No.1 is consistently one of the 2
