Look, I was a little concerned about ordering sushi on a Sunday afternoon, on a holiday weekend, in a city very far away from not 1 but 2 oceans. Not only was the sashimi fresh, it was perfectly proportioned and freakin' delicious. Because I was eating my feelings while sitting in a hotel room, I also ordered the seafood soba. So creamy, so delicious. The vegetables had crunch and the noodles were full of flavor. Just the right amount of clams and OMG so many shrimp and scallops! For you sushi/sashimi nerds, I had the maguro, ika, and hokkigai, and they were perfect. One last thing: the sushi rice is perfect. Not just good. . . perfect.
I don't know why sushi and Hawaiian chefs would decide to move to North Dakota, but these folks are serious about what they do. Your meal will be worth every penny. Now I have to go take a nap.

• DoorDash orderEverything had a spice in it that I haven't tasted in these dishes from anywhere else, even in Hawaii. It was a lemony, wasabi, maybe rancid taste/smell. The Yaki Udon and the 13. Crab Rangoons (6 Pieces) didn't have it. However the Yaki Udon was bland and the 13. Crab Rangoons (6 Pieces) was skimpy on the filling. Made me so very sad and disappointed.
