• DoorDash orderEverything was delicious but my favorites were the Cornbread (gf) and Creamy Pinto Beans. The Mole Chicken was super amazing. The Beef of the Day was a delicious brisket with a gorgeous chimichurri sauce. And omg that Sonoran Wedge Salad was a revelation! I will definitely be ordering again. Compliments to the chef and kitchen!

• DoorDash orderThis place has some potential and provides flavor profiles that you may not often encounter. If they cancel your order and give no real explanation as to why. It's because they don't bother to update their menu item availability. Try choosing another menu item and placing your order again. Just keep trying this method until you decide to call them for current offerings or they decide to turn off incoming Door Dash orders.
Beef of the day came as a small portion of overcooked shredded beef and chunks of fat in a soup like base, had a nice flavor but beef was tough and stringy. $2 side of mole bbq comes in a 2oz condiment cup and is pretty much a regular thick bbq sauce that has an initial sweetness and ends in a complex heat spice. Doubt mole has the traditional chocolate or nut base. Pickled slaw comes with sweet pickles, pickled red onions, slaw, and has an interesting flavor. Creamy beans have a strong flavor that is kinda overwhelming, maybe anise.

• DoorDash orderMy mind is completely blown. You can tell this chef has earned a Michelin star. This was the most unique and delicious fusion of flavors and textures that I've had in a long time. Not only that but the price was super cheap for the quality of the food, I would have paid twice as much or more for it. Ive already told all my friends and family, this is going to be our new favorite restaurant in La Mesa. Thank you for that beautiful meal!
