The 12oz Duroc Bone-in Pork Chop may be my all-time favorite late autumn meal. I love everything about it. Every component of this plate is a star on its own -- I could live on the mascapone polenta alone! -- but the combination is so much more than the sum of its parts. Now that I've had stone fruit mostarda, I want it every time I eat pork. The bright, sharp, sweet mostarda and the cider au jus made everything sing.

A chilly night to enjoy meat made right. Our Red Wine Braised Beef Short Rib dinner with the veggies and mushrooms and 12oz Duroc Bone-in Pork Chop dinner were so flavorful! Loved our salad: thin-sliced Bosc pear and pepitas over bright fresh greens with fine-grated Grana Padano cheese. The lovely fruity vinaigrette sealed that deal, it's our favorite salad. High quality comfort food. Our blood got a new boost of iron to power through the coming wet snow from a late winter storm. We know where to find good cooking.

Fettucine Frutti Di Mare was delicious again, very good big shellfish in a light tangy tomato sauce, the pasta cooked just right, brightened with fresh lemon juice spritz. Clam chowder here is always excellent too, as is the grilled asparagus side, a delicious meal on a cold night.

The fries that accompanied the ribeye were so salty that they were inedible. Otherwise, the experience was very satisfying. Bouillabaisse broth was very rich. Contained lots of fish. Wish there were more shrimp. Ribeye was well prepared and very flavorful.

Most items at Parker's are excellent. Parker's is one of the best restaurants in the Western Suburbs. However, I cannot recommend the Bistro Bacon Cheeseburger. It's a salt bomb. The burger was cooked perfectly as was the bacon but the burger is one note only: salt.
