We just had dinner here for the first time and were thoroughly impressed. We ordered two burritos and a side of Mexican fries, and each dish was flavorful and satisfying. The burritos were generously filled with fresh ingredients, and the Mexican fries had just the right amount of spice.
In a town where quality Mexican food can be hard to come by, this place truly stands out. If you’re in Kona and craving Mexican cuisine, this spot is definitely worth a visit!

Chile relleno was delicious, only problem it was poorly made. must remember the eyes eat before the mouth, its all about that presentation. Apple pie was also delicious. Size of the pie not worth 5 bucks for. Horchata was delicious. Please take this as a constructive criticism.

I normally really like Patricio's - however this dish (Patricio's Bowl) wasn't very appetizing. I've never, ever said Mexican fare lacks flavor or salt, but it needed both! There was so much liquid in the bowl that I had to drain the entire meal before I could eat it. In addition, I paid extra for lettuce, but that turned out to be maybe a tablespoon of shredded iceberg lettuce scattered on top. I will order from them again, most likely, but not this one!

The sweet corn tamales are excellent! The pork tamales are good, but be sure to choose a sauce as they tend to be a bit dryer than the sweet corn tamales.
Their enchiladas were disappointing. I'm from southern California where we have excellent Mexican cuisine and we have not found anything close to what we are used to here in Kona, until these Tamales. 😊 Nachos were good. The $6 delivery fee is pricey though. Not liking that. Hopefully they will allow Dashpass at some point.
