I got the fried catfish and some gumbo and both were very delicious. Plenty of shrimp and crab meat in the gumbo. It's flavorful and very filling. The only thing I didn't care for were the fries. They were thick cut and soft and bland.

The PoBoys are outstanding! The bread is light and fluffy, but sturdy enough to hold all the delectable and bountiful protein inside. We had 2 PoBoys: the roast beef and the fried shrimp. WOW! A great value as its large enough for 2 separate "large" meals. Accompanied by fresh cut French fries fried to perfection. PoMelvin's is so good, we've gone 3 days in a row!

Oh. My. Gosh. This is good, home cooking like grandma used to make! I am embarrassed to say that I ate too much yesterday ... a delicious chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and cabbage for lunch and then a bowl of red beans and rice with a side salad for dinner. Everything was soooo good! I give them 5 stars and a lot of repeat business!

The Po' Mel's Colossal Seafood Platter was good. My fiance and I killed it lol. The Margarita Rocks was good too. Butttt the gumbo was a little disappointing especially based on the reviews. There was barely any rice. It was a little salty. I felt if it would've had more rice it couldve soaked up the saltiness. The shrimp were smaller than expected.
