• DoorDash orderDay started off terrible. Unexpected guest at the house at 5 am. Traffic on 47 kept me at a light for four red lights. But none of that matters. Today was runza day! Savory Special of the Day today had runza again, and all my cares have melted away. It's like the world's best hot pocket. The beef is always cooked perfectly and never dry. The cabbage is always cut in perfect little tender bites. The pastry itself is savory and soft on the inside but has a nice bite. The bottom is my favorite. All the savory little crispy bits are like little pops of flavor. The top is sprinkled with sesame and pairs so well with the rest. I just ate three for breakfast. The rest will be my lunch and dinner. I could be having the worst day, and it started that way, and runza could save me. I saw that there is a dinner with the chef May 3rd. Count me all the way in.

• DoorDash orderThe best avocado toast of my life was today's Savory Special of the Day. I thought it was burrata on top; it was the best soft boiled egg I've ever gotten. This includes ramen restaurants. It was not a meal to eat in polite company, at least not the way I ate it. Yolk and flaky pastry everywhere. I'm saving my Ham and Gruyère Croissant and Chocolate Croissant for lunch as they're two of my favorites. Because I keep missing the runza on the weekends. :( I don't know what the cookie I get is, but I'd like a giant one to use as a pillow. It's so soft and sweet and caramel with nuts could cure anything that ails me. I'm getting into my blueberry muffin from the Sweet Special of the Day now and the smell alone is divine. Never a bad meal from Pots and Pies.

• DoorDash orderI have never in 41 years of life had better croissants than here. It is like biting into a sweet flakey pillowy cloud. The Bacon and Egg Croissant is obscenely good. The eggs are soft and creamy and the bacon is always thick and a bit crispy. The Chocolate Croissant is such a beautiful texture and so deep in chocolate flavor. The Ham and Gruyère Croissant is the ham sandwich of my dreams. The ham is thick cut and always tender, the gruyere is always cut to the perfect thickness and the arugula gives such a peppery brightness to it all, so tasty. I often try their Sweet Special of the Day and Savory Special of the Day just to see what new incredible flavors I've been missing out on. Today was just as flavorful and perfectly baked as every other time I have tried. I can't say enough good things. One of my favorite shops around work. I just wish I could eat here breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

• DoorDash orderSavory Special of the Day There were two today. A croissant ham, gouda, fig sandwich and a brie mushroom pastry. I do not love figs, so I asked them to be removed and this was easily the best ham sandwich I have ever had. The ham was nice and thick and tender, the gouda was super flavorful, but the croissant.. My goodness. Best croissant of my life. So flaky and buttery and little crispy bits. The mushroom brie pastry was so umami packed. The mushrooms were tender and the brie was creamy and rich. The pastry dough was so tasty and flaky. I genuinely haven't had something so good tk eat in so long. I can't wait until these make a comeback because I will buy them every chance I get!

• DoorDash orderSavory Special of the Day you guessed it, runza. Best batch yet! Every one had crispy bits to it and I devoured them at mach speed. One minute in a toaster oven made them taste like they had just been baked. I will never not be happy when it's runza day. Also, anyone following the saga of my orders from here, that saucy minx of a cookie is turtle. Treat yourself.
