After years of working in various kitchens around southern California, I decided to create Punjab Café Indian Cuisine so that I could produce cuisine my way and focus on my first love, North Indian co…
Ordered in advance, Punjab Cafe accepted the order around 6:40pm and I received the order at 7:10pm (asked for 7-7:20 delivery)
I ordered the 24oz Butter Chicken (which is HUGE), the Chicken Tikka, Garlic Naan, a small rice (enough for 3 people), and 2 orders of the Vegetable Samosas (4 total)
Everything was piping hot and wrapped with extra care. Definitely enough food for 4 people
The Butter Chicken is a delicious tandoori style chicken in a creamy butter sauce. I ordered mild but will try medium next time as mild literally has no spice
The Chicken Tikka was my favorite. I ordered medium and it had the perfect amount of spice. It comes with onions and peppers with are an added bonus. Each piece of chicken is a sizable chunk (about 2 inches cubed)
The Vegetable Samosas are nice and crunchy. I typically like them spicier, but they were still delicious

The Butter Chicken ( 16 OZ ) and Garlic Naan is insanely good and a pretty great price for 2-3 servings of food. I got mild spice level and it was perfect for me but still a little spicy. The naan was super buttery and garlicky and just perfect with the butter chicken. Highly, highly, highly recommend!

The Chicken Biryani and Dal Makhani were AMAZING! Very taditional in the way it was cooked - they even give a side of yogurt (how it should be) which had shaved carrots in it.
The spices were great, just a bit heavy spice when ibitinto a Star Enise lol but it was great regardless! Id go back anytime of the day! Great food even better portions & FRESH!

Ordered Chana Bhatura 2 piece and Paneer butter Masala ( 16 OZ ). The bhatura size was much smaller compared to the other places. Chole didn't taste fresh and it was like the chole had been boiled, added to curry separately, instead of being cooked with the curry. Mint chutney was sweet for some reason. Tamarind chutney is already sweet. Why would one want 2 sweet chutneys? Paneer butter masala was alright. I didn’t think the prices justified the taste though. Local Indian grocery stores have similar/better tasting food at little over half the prices.

Since 2020 when I started ordering from here the prices have steadily gone up. I still think it's worth it because the food never misses BUT any higher and it may become a rare treat. I got Veg Manchurian which was perfectly spicy with good flavor and texture. K hee r (Rice Pudding) was the perfect level of sweet and very well packaged to avoid leaks. The food is excellent and never too salty or spicy (which can sometimes happen depending where you go) Portion size was just right
