Our cuisine is inspired by the original table fare of the Golden State's Spanish and Mexican Californios. By the 1500s, Spanish explorers had adopted many of the indigenous foods of Mexico; 200 years …
Both items were tasty, but the proportions of some ingredients were off. For the Rancho Burrito there was a lot of meat and for the Rancho Nachos there was too little guacamole. the Rancho Nachos came with the chips under the toppings which makes them soggy by the time they get to you.

Adobe Brick Chicken is by far my fav dish and I order it all the time. The meat is always so juicy and I love all the flavors. Top notch!! The Ceviche De Rancho is also well done. It's always fresh and I love the kick!

While their website does a great job marketing what sounds like a great restaurant, our meal was highly disappointing. First, this is the most expensive me icanrestaurant in the lafayette/walnut creek/concord/martinez area. As such expectations that the tacos would come with more than meat and tortillas (and looked like it was thrown literally into a box). Paying $30 for tacos and not getting any cheese, sour cream, guacamole and no beans or rice is robbery. Amdthe taste was mediocre at best.
Same with the enchiladas.
I also ordered beans and rice which were forgotten. My carnitas interestingly did come with rice and beans for the same $30. While the beans were flavorable, the rice was dreadful: flavorless and over cooked.
This was my first time trying Rancho Cantina, and appears to be the last even if the menu looks very appealing.
