This spot has been my absolute favorite spot to order from in San Diego - in person or delivery. The food is always so flavorful and amazing and the portions are great. Plenty of injera! Seriously the best around.

I got the Vegetarian Combination. It was my first time having injera bread, its quite sour but still good. The diffrent stews were delicious! I just wish for the price they would put more of it, there was more than enough injera bread ( 3 big pieces) but not much stew.

We ordered a lot of food for a party. The food was not only delicious, but it was all labelled and packaged perfectly. The owner took time in making sure we had all that we needed plus more. It was an easy process, and I would recommend Red Sea!

Folks we have LOVED Ethiopian food from several restaurants in SD and other cities we have tried it in house. and even have a cookbook and have tried our hand at a few of the dishes ourselves so I am very sad to leave this tough review. BUT it's super important to state that a dish is RAW beef on the menu if thats what you are serving. And the lamb stew Shifinfin was a nice sauce but honestly had almost no meat and all injera. We believe we had actually had food from this place at a farmers market in the past and had always fought over the collared greens and lentils as we loved those veggies and this time they were just not the same- mediocre at best. We are sorry but we felt important shere the info and our experience. First major issue on DoorDash we have had.
