The quality of meat reminded me allot of this little place on California Avenue called the Little Mermaid. They made a rare roasted beef sandwich that blew my mind. After they eventually closed up shop I've spent the last 20 years trying to find somewhere that roasted their beef this rare and this delicious. I've FINALLY found it. THANK YOU SO MUCH. Usually I would cut something like that in half and make two meals out of. I couldn't help myself, I ate that and the coleslaw all in one sitting. I'm a fan. Please keep doing it like this, it's worthy of the 5 stars I gave you guys.

I was really looking forward to trying this place. But for $18 + tax + tip, I received 3 slices of tri tip slapped between 2 pieces of bread. The meat was fatty and chewy, and less than half the amount I'd expect for that price point.

I ordered a brisket and cornbread meal. All I can say is "I've had better. It just wasn't very tasty. It came with 2 small cups of Bbq sauce. One was half full. The other was too too spicy and not good for me. So unfortunately not worth the price.
Oh the 2 Can Pepsi arrived cold and tasted great.

The brisket sandwich is freaking amazing! Some of the best I've ever had! This place is legit fire, and I could eat here every day. However, I am inclined to agree with the others that the portion sizes are too small for what you pay, especially with the coleslaw. $4.25 for maybe 2.5-3oz? Common. Thats why it gets 4 stars instead of 5. But, with that said, the food is incredible and I highly recommend eating here.

To be honest, the meat was way better than I expected! The tri tip and brisket were individually wrapped in foil to avoid opening up a super messy to-go box which I appreciated. Nothing was wrong with the tri tip but the brisket was insane - will definitely get a full brisket combo next time!
Sides could use more seasoning but 5 stars because there's much worse bbq with better ratings out here.
