"The Sapienza Bake Shop began in 1935, when Andrew Sapienza bought a grocery business in Queens' Corona district.
Paul bought the store outright in 1973 and renamed it Sapienza Bake Shop.
My son really enjoyed his birthday cake and it actually served a good amount of guests. I appreciate the baker adding the happy birthday message I requested. Very well packaged and tasted amazing

Cake was good, but the frosting was very disappointing, and not what I expected. The buttercream did not taste or look like buttercream.

A definite neighborhood favorite. Never heard a bad thing about the place. The only bakery in the mecham ave/ Hempstead tpk area that lasted 50 years.
I believe they originally had a bakery in Brooklyn prior to coming to Elmont.
Give it shot
